Zerobolas values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how protected payments, shipping, wallet, video proof, messaging, notifications, and reviews affect data processing, and how users can request access, correction, or deletion.

1. Information We Collect
  • Account information, including name, email address, username, password credentials, profile image, phone number when provided, location for listings, language, country, and profile settings.
  • Public profile and marketplace information, including listings, listing photos and videos, prices, categories, condition, package size, weight selections, seller stats, purchases, sales, reviews, favorites, saves, views, and badges.
  • Transaction information, including products purchased or sold, order status, checkout selections, sale type, pricing, buyer protection fees, marketplace fees, shipping amounts, refunds, disputes, wallet ledger entries, payout status, and order timeline events.
  • Payment information processed through third-party providers such as Stripe, including Stripe customer identifiers, connected account identifiers, onboarding status, charges-enabled and payouts-enabled status, checkout session identifiers, payment intent identifiers, transfer identifiers, payment method type, and related payment metadata. Zerobolas does not store full card numbers.
  • Stripe Connect seller information that Stripe may collect directly for verification, identity, tax, bank account, risk, compliance, and payout purposes. Stripe's own privacy practices apply to information you provide directly to Stripe.
  • Shipping information, including buyer delivery addresses, seller origin addresses, package details, shipping rates, label status, USPS or carrier label identifiers, QR code or label broker references, tracking numbers, tracking events, delivery estimates, label refund data, and carrier support records.
  • Meetup information, including QR or code confirmation records, meetup order status, handoff proof, confirmation timestamps, and related order messages.
  • Video proof and evidence, including packing videos, opening videos, handoff videos, listing media, photos, chat evidence, dispute evidence, and metadata associated with those files.
  • Messages and communications, including chat messages, order notices, automated reminders, review prompts, support requests, reports, complaints, emails, push notifications, and in-app notifications.
  • Technical and usage information, including device identifiers, IP address, browser and app details, operating system, cookies, log data, analytics events, crash reports, performance information, fraud and abuse signals, location signals when enabled, and push notification identifiers.
  • Information received from third-party login or platform providers, such as Apple, Google, Facebook/Meta, or other supported account providers.
2. How We Use Information
  • To create, authenticate, maintain, secure, and support user accounts.
  • To publish listings, show public profiles, support messaging, operate discovery, and personalize the marketplace.
  • To process protected checkout, create orders, calculate quotes, request payment, record fees, support wallet ledger activity, enable seller payouts, and manage release of funds.
  • To support Stripe Connect onboarding, seller payment readiness, payout eligibility, payment status, refunds, chargebacks, and payment-related compliance.
  • To create, manage, refund, or troubleshoot USPS or carrier labels, QR codes, tracking, shipping rates, delivery estimates, and shipping support.
  • To support meetup confirmation, QR/code handoff, protected in-person payments, and order completion.
  • To review video proof, chat records, tracking, payment records, and account history for disputes, refunds, fraud prevention, abuse review, policy enforcement, and safety.
  • To send service-related emails, push notifications, in-app notices, order updates, review reminders, wallet updates, security notices, policy notices, and support communications.
  • To detect and prevent scams, off-platform payment requests, prohibited listings, fraud, spam, harassment, unauthorized access, and other unsafe behavior.
  • To improve, debug, analyze, test, and develop Zerobolas products, including app performance, crash diagnostics, marketplace quality, and user experience.
  • To comply with law, legal process, tax, accounting, payment provider, carrier, safety, dispute, and regulatory obligations.
3. Public Information

Some information is visible to other users or the public so the marketplace can function. This may include profile name, username, profile photo, follower and following counts, seller stats, purchases and sales counts, reviews, listings, listing media, listing location, price, availability, badges, saves, views, and public profile activity.

4. Payments, Apple Pay, Wallets, And Stripe

Zerobolas uses third-party payment providers such as Stripe. When you use checkout, Apple Pay, cards, Link, Google Pay, seller payouts, Stripe Connect, or other supported payment methods, payment information may be processed by Stripe, banks, card networks, wallet providers, and other payment participants.

Zerobolas stores payment-related identifiers and status information needed to operate orders, wallet records, payouts, refunds, disputes, and support. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers. If you onboard as a seller through Stripe Connect, identity, tax, bank, and verification data may be collected directly by Stripe and handled under Stripe's applicable terms and privacy policy.

5. Shipping, USPS, QR Codes, And Tracking

If you use shipping, Zerobolas may share necessary order, address, package, label, QR code, tracking, and contact information with USPS, other carriers, shipping technology providers, payment providers, support tools, and infrastructure vendors. This information is used to quote shipping, create labels or QR codes, update tracking, confirm delivery, handle label refunds, support disputes, and protect the marketplace.

6. Video Proof, Disputes, And Safety Review

Video proof, photos, messages, tracking, payment records, order records, reviews, and account history may be reviewed by Zerobolas team members, automated systems, payment providers, carriers, or support vendors when needed for dispute handling, fraud prevention, safety, policy enforcement, refunds, chargebacks, or legal compliance.

7. Messages, Notifications, And Emails

Zerobolas may send transactional and operational communications about your account, orders, payments, shipping, wallet, disputes, reviews, safety, support, and policy changes. Some communications are necessary for the Service and may not be fully disabled while you use Zerobolas.

Push notification delivery may involve providers such as OneSignal, Apple, Google/Firebase, or other notification infrastructure. Email delivery may involve email service providers and hosting infrastructure.

8. Cookies And Similar Technologies

Zerobolas may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand usage, measure performance, detect abuse, improve security, and support website or app features. Third-party services may also use similar technologies in connection with features they provide.

9. Sharing Of Information

We may share information:

  • With other users when needed for profiles, listings, chat, protected checkout, shipping, meetup, reviews, or transaction completion.
  • With payment providers, including Stripe, banks, card networks, wallet providers, and fraud or risk tools.
  • With shipping providers, including USPS, carriers, label providers, tracking providers, and related support systems.
  • With vendors that help us host, secure, analyze, email, notify, store files, transcode videos, monitor crashes, provide maps, provide customer support, or operate Zerobolas.
  • With law enforcement, regulators, courts, legal advisors, tax authorities, payment networks, carriers, or other parties when required by law, legal process, compliance obligations, safety concerns, fraud prevention, or enforcement of our Terms.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
10. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, operate accounts and orders, complete payments and shipping, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, carrier, and regulatory obligations, enforce our Terms, and maintain security. Retention periods may vary by data type and context.

11. Account And Data Deletion

Users can delete their Zerobolas account from the app. The current in-app flow is:

  1. Open the Zerobolas app.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Open Account and security or the account settings area.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm your password when prompted.
  6. Choose a reason for leaving and submit the deletion request.

When an account deletion request is completed, Zerobolas removes or deactivates the user account and removes content directly tied to that account that is managed by the current application flow, including the user's listings, owned videos, uploaded listing media, uploaded profile image, and follower links.

Some information may remain when needed for security, fraud prevention, chargebacks, payment records, wallet records, shipping records, disputes, reviews, tax, accounting, legal compliance, backups, logs, or legitimate business purposes. Zerobolas also cannot control how long public content remains visible in third-party search engines, screenshots, archives, or cached copies outside Zerobolas systems.

If you cannot access the app, email hello@zerobolas.com from the email address associated with your Zerobolas account, or include enough information for us to identify the account. Public deletion instructions are also available at /data-deletion.

12. Facebook, Google, And Apple Login

If you use a third-party login provider, we may receive information needed to authenticate your account, such as name, email, provider identifier, and profile details allowed by that provider. Disconnecting a login provider is not the same as deleting your Zerobolas account. Full account deletion must be requested through Zerobolas deletion tools or by contacting us.

13. Your Choices
  • You can update certain account, profile, username, location, language, notification, and listing information in the app.
  • You can delete listings, edit profile information, manage some notifications, and request account deletion.
  • You can stop receiving certain marketing emails by using an unsubscribe link when available. Transactional and safety messages may still be sent.
  • You can request help with privacy questions, access, correction, or deletion by contacting Zerobolas.
14. Children

Zerobolas is not intended for children under 13. Protected checkout, seller payouts, wallet features, Stripe Connect, and paid marketplace features are intended for adults who can legally enter into those transactions.

15. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and promptly reporting unauthorized access.

16. International Processing

Zerobolas and our providers may process information in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

17. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, Zerobolas may post an updated version, send a notice, or require renewed acceptance.
