These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Zerobolas websites, mobile applications, marketplace features, protected payments, shipping, messaging, wallet, video proof, reviews, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility And Account Responsibilities
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Zerobolas.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use protected checkout, seller payouts, wallet features, Stripe Connect onboarding, USPS shipping labels, or any paid marketplace feature.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs through your account.
  • You must provide accurate account, profile, listing, shipping, payout, and contact information.
  • You may not create accounts, listings, messages, reviews, or transactions that are false, misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or intended to bypass Zerobolas safety systems.
2. What Zerobolas Provides

Zerobolas is a social marketplace where users can discover listings, communicate, post videos, buy and sell eligible products, and use protected payments, shipping, meetup confirmation, wallet, notifications, reviews, and dispute tools. Zerobolas is not the owner, seller, buyer, carrier, manufacturer, appraiser, insurer, or tax advisor for user listings unless expressly stated.

Protected checkout is currently designed for eligible product listings. Properties, vehicles, services, and other categories may include different contact, chat, or lead features and may not include protected checkout, USPS labels, wallet release, or buyer protection unless the app clearly makes those features available.

3. Listings, Content, And Ownership
  • Sellers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, condition, authenticity, photos, videos, price, availability, shipping information, and description of every listing.
  • You represent that you have all rights needed to post the content and sell or offer the listed item.
  • By posting content, you grant Zerobolas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, promote, translate, and create derivative works from that content as needed to operate, market, improve, and protect the Service.
  • Zerobolas may remove, restrict, edit, downrank, suspend, or refuse content or accounts at any time if we believe they violate these Terms, create risk, or harm the community.
  • You may not post content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
4. Prohibited Listings And Conduct

You may not list, buy, sell, promote, or request any item, service, or activity that is illegal, unsafe, deceptive, or prohibited by Zerobolas, payment providers, carriers, or applicable law. Prohibited content includes:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosive materials, weapons, or parts intended to create or modify weapons.
  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances, prescription medication, medical products requiring authorization, or regulated health products.
  • Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, replicas presented as authentic, contraband, or items that infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Human remains, organs, bodily fluids, identification documents, financial documents, credit or debit cards, databases, or private personal information.
  • Animals, wildlife, endangered species, ivory, or animal products whose sale is restricted.
  • Adult sexual content, sexual services, escort services, nudity that violates our policies, or content involving minors.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, gambling, lottery, raffles, financial securities, loans, cryptocurrency trading, gift cards, or stored value products when restricted or unsupported.
  • Content that promotes hate, discrimination, violence, harassment, terrorism, self-harm, fraud, scams, spam, pyramid schemes, or deceptive off-platform transactions.
  • Duplicate listings, fake listings, misleading photos, unrelated photos, stolen photos, or listings posted in the wrong category.
  • Links, phone numbers, emails, or instructions intended to move protected transactions outside Zerobolas when a protected checkout flow is available.

Zerobolas may update prohibited-listing rules over time. Additional rules may apply by category, payment method, shipping carrier, location, or risk review.

5. Messaging, Notifications, And Anti-Scam Controls
  • Messages, automated reminders, order notices, review prompts, dispute updates, shipping updates, and account notices may be delivered in-app, by push notification, by email, or by other supported channels.
  • You agree not to use Zerobolas messages to harass users, send spam, request payment outside the app, share malicious links, impersonate others, or bypass platform protections.
  • Zerobolas may use automated and manual tools to detect scams, unsafe content, prohibited payment requests, suspicious links, phone numbers, emails, and other abuse signals.
  • We may block, hide, delay, review, or remove messages or listings that appear risky or violate these Terms.
6. Protected Checkout, Sale Types, And Fees

Some product listings may allow protected checkout through shipping, meetup, or both. The app will show available sale types before checkout.

  • Shipping orders may include product price, shipping, buyer protection fees, marketplace fees, taxes or estimated taxes if applicable, and any other disclosed charges.
  • Meetup orders may use protected payment, wallet confirmation, QR or code confirmation, buyer acceptance, and seller payout release features.
  • Buyer protection fees, marketplace fees, shipping margins, instant payout fees, or other charges may apply and will be disclosed in the checkout or seller tools when available.
  • Fees may change over time based on the listing, order value, payment method, shipping service, risk, promotion, or business rules.
  • Do not pay outside Zerobolas for a transaction that is eligible for protected checkout. Off-platform payments may not be protected.
7. Payments, Merchant Of Record, And Stripe Connect

Zerobolas uses third-party payment providers, including Stripe, to process payments, seller onboarding, identity checks, payout eligibility, payment methods such as cards and supported wallets, refunds, disputes, and related payment services.

For protected checkout transactions, the seller may be required to complete Stripe Connect onboarding before buyers can pay. A seller's connected account may be identified as the merchant or settlement merchant for the sale, while Zerobolas provides the marketplace, protection workflow, order status, release logic, support tools, and platform services.

Sellers are responsible for the items they sell, required tax reporting, business registrations, seller disclosures, product compliance, and any obligations that apply to them as sellers. Zerobolas may collect marketplace fees, buyer protection fees, shipping margins, or other disclosed platform charges.

Payment providers may impose their own terms, verification requirements, reserves, holds, limits, account reviews, chargeback handling, negative balance rules, or payout timing. Zerobolas is not responsible for delays or restrictions caused by a payment provider, bank, card network, wallet provider, or compliance review.

8. Escrow-Like Holds, Wallet, Payouts, And Release
  • Protected payments may be held or tracked in Stripe, Zerobolas wallet records, or other internal ledger systems until the order reaches a release state.
  • Zerobolas wallet balances are marketplace ledger entries. They are not a bank account, stored-value bank account, investment account, or FDIC-insured account.
  • For shipping orders, funds may be released after tracking shows delivery and the buyer accepts the item, or after a buyer review period expires without a valid dispute.
  • For meetup orders, funds may be released after the required QR, code, or in-app confirmation and any applicable acceptance step.
  • Zerobolas may delay, reverse, offset, or withhold release if there is a dispute, refund, chargeback, fraud signal, policy violation, carrier issue, payment issue, legal request, or compliance concern.
  • Seller payouts depend on Stripe Connect status, payment provider rules, payout schedule, bank processing, and risk review.
9. Shipping, USPS Labels, QR Codes, And Tracking

Shipping features may use USPS or other carriers and shipping technology providers. Shipping options, rates, QR codes, labels, tracking, delivery estimates, refunds for unused labels, and carrier acceptance depend on carrier systems and eligibility.

  • Sellers must provide accurate origin address, package size, weight, item category, and shipment information.
  • Buyers must provide accurate delivery address and contact information.
  • Sellers must ship only eligible items and must not ship prohibited, hazardous, restricted, illegal, counterfeit, or misdeclared goods.
  • Carrier rates, labels, tracking, QR codes, delivery estimates, scans, refunds, and delivery status may change or fail due to carrier systems, weather, address issues, restricted items, or other external events.
  • Zerobolas may cancel, refund, void, or require manual review for labels or orders that appear invalid, risky, unpaid, misdeclared, or unsupported.
  • Users are responsible for following USPS and carrier rules, including packaging, labeling, drop-off, and prohibited or restricted mail rules.
10. Video Proof, Photos, And Evidence

Zerobolas may offer video proof tools, including packing videos, handoff videos, opening videos, chat evidence, listing media, photos, and tracking records. These tools are designed to reduce fraud and help review disputes, but they do not guarantee an outcome.

  • Sellers may be asked to record packing, label, drop-off, or handoff proof.
  • Buyers may be asked to record opening, damage, missing-item, or authenticity proof.
  • Zerobolas may review proof videos, chat history, order records, payment records, tracking, and user history when handling disputes, abuse, refunds, or account reviews.
11. Acceptance Window, Disputes, Refunds, And Returns
  • Buyers must inspect items promptly after delivery or meetup confirmation.
  • Unless the app states otherwise, buyers may have a limited review period, such as 48 hours after delivery, to accept the item or open a valid issue.
  • If the buyer does not act before the review period expires, Zerobolas may automatically mark the order accepted and release funds.
  • Valid dispute reasons may include item not received, wrong item, materially not as described, damaged item, counterfeit item, or other supported safety concerns.
  • Buyer remorse, change of mind, preference, fit, color expectations, or price changes are not guaranteed return reasons unless Zerobolas or the seller expressly allows returns.
  • Zerobolas may request evidence, pause release, issue or deny refunds, require return shipment, restrict accounts, or take other action based on available information.
  • Payment provider chargebacks, card disputes, and bank reversals may follow provider and network rules in addition to Zerobolas processes.
12. Reviews And Reputation
  • Reviews, ratings, sales counts, purchase counts, badges, and reputation signals may be shown on profiles, listings, chats, and order pages.
  • You may not manipulate reviews, threaten users for reviews, post false reviews, review your own transactions, or use multiple accounts to inflate reputation.
  • Zerobolas may remove, hide, delay, expire, or limit reviews that appear fraudulent, abusive, irrelevant, or policy-violating.
13. Properties, Vehicles, Calls, And Non-Protected Leads

Some categories may support chat, call-for-info, lead forms, map display, seller phone number display, or other discovery tools. Unless checkout is explicitly shown for that category, Zerobolas does not process the transaction, hold funds, provide shipping labels, or provide buyer protection for those listings.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third parties such as Stripe, USPS, AWS, Firebase, OneSignal, Google, Apple, Meta, map providers, analytics providers, email providers, hosting providers, and other operational vendors. Your use of those features may be subject to third-party terms, availability, processing times, verification, rules, and privacy practices.

15. Taxes

Users are responsible for determining and satisfying any taxes, reporting, registrations, licenses, permits, or obligations that apply to their purchases, sales, income, listings, shipments, or business activities. Zerobolas may collect, calculate, display, report, or withhold taxes where required or supported, but does not provide tax advice.

16. Account Suspension And Enforcement

Zerobolas may warn, restrict, suspend, terminate, delete, or refuse service to any user or account if we believe there is risk, abuse, fraud, policy violation, legal exposure, nonpayment, chargeback activity, carrier abuse, harassment, identity concern, or harm to Zerobolas or other users.

17. Data Deletion

Account and data deletion options are described in our Privacy Policy and on our Data Deletion page. Some records may be retained when needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, tax, accounting, payment, shipping, chargeback, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.

18. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEROBOLAS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, AND RELIABILITY.

ZEROBOLAS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT USERS, LISTINGS, ITEMS, PAYMENTS, SHIPMENTS, TRACKING, DELIVERY ESTIMATES, VIDEO PROOF, REVIEWS, OR DISPUTE OUTCOMES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SAFE, ACCURATE, OR SATISFACTORY.

19. Limitation Of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEROBOLAS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, LOST SALES, PAYMENT PROVIDER ACTIONS, CARRIER FAILURES, USER CONDUCT, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, EVEN IF ZEROBOLAS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zerobolas, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and partners from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, listings, transactions, shipments, taxes, conduct, use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights.

21. Changes To The Service Or Terms

Zerobolas may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When material changes are made, Zerobolas may post the updated Terms, send a notice, or require renewed acceptance. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
